Fallen Trees and Limbs
If a tree or limb is blocking the street, sidewalk, ditch, oncoming traffic or traffic sign; please contact 311 the Maintenance Dept. will be notified immediately and a crew will be sent out. If a tree falls from private property onto city property, we will cut the tree back to the property line and the homeowner is responsible for removing the rest of it. If it falls from city property onto private property, we will remove the entire tree/limbs etc.
A service request is submitted by 311. The request is inspected and appropriate action is determined by the Street Maintenance Dept. If Street Maintenance Dept. thinks additional action is needed the request is sent to Urban Forestry for review. If request requires action, the appropriate work order is written and forwarded to Street Maintenance Dept., who schedules and performs work.
