The Electrical Inspections Division of the Inspections Department should be contacted by  calling 311 or 334-625-4636 when complaints about hazards such as “wire/cable hanging from a utility pole”, “wire/cable lying on the ground”, “open/uncovered utility box”, “shoes or other objects hanging from a utility line/pole” are filed. The electrical inspector will investigate the complaint, confirm the existence of a hazard, and contact the utility company about the hazard.
